My Story

Finding the "Why" behind my code

I’m a product designer with 3+ years of experience in enterprise and government systems. Most recently, I designed OASIS and ATLAS at NYC Public Schools — student information and special education platforms serving 1,800 schools and 1.1 million students. I graduated from the M.S. HCI/d program at Indiana University Bloomington in 2023. Previously, I’ve worked with BonCamel, Clearviction, Salesforce, Beamable, and Best Buy.

I started as a Software Engineer during undergrad, but found myself more drawn to the why behind my code than the code itself — why does this flow confuse people? why does this screen feel off? That curiosity led me to UX design, and I’ve been working to bridge the two ever since.

I think of myself as a full-stack designer: I own projects from requirements through research, wireframes, and stakeholder reviews to production-ready specs. I’ve also brought AI into my design process — for synthesis, rapid iteration, and content structuring — which lets me move faster without sacrificing depth. The result is work that’s both well-considered and actually buildable.

My Design Should be

Intuitive, unified, and meaningful

Systematic, clear, and grounded.

I used to define good design by how it felt — intuitive flows, consistent patterns, meaningful details. That’s still the foundation. But designing compliance systems for 1.1M students across complex, multi-user workflows sharpened that instinct into something more specific: design that’s systematic in how it connects, clear in how it communicates, and grounded in what can actually be built and maintained.

Beyond Design

Outside of work, I’m an avid photographer 📷 (yes, I took all the photos below), aspiring ski bum still perfecting the art of not falling ⛷️, and always planning the next trip ✈️. I also play tennis 🎾, cook way too ambitiously for a weeknight 🥘, and hit the gym to justify it all 💪.

“You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.”
